WASCON (The International Conference on the Environmental and Technical Implications of Construction with Alternative Materials) has been held every three years since 1991 and provides a forum for exchange of ideas and current research nationally and internationally on the use of waste, industrial by-products and other recycled materials in construction. An important scientific base for the implementation of alternative materials is given by the numerous contributions to the WASCON conferences.
In addition to our regular WASCON conferences, ISCOWA is also interested in organizing other seminars and conferences related to our fields of interest. In case you have a good idea, please do not hesitate to contact us via our contact form!

WASCON 2026
The next WASCON conference will be held on 18-21 May 2026 in Japan.
We have opened the official website of the conference where you can find information about the abstract submission and other important information. You can also download a flyer here.
Abstract submission has been extended until 30 November 2025!
Please note that (extended) abstracts, if accepted, will only be included in the proceedings if the registration fee has been paid in due time (at the moment the registration part is still under construction).
